Environmental Manager (m/f)
Job based south of Luxembourg
Role:
Responsible for overseeing the environmental performance of the plant by examining corporate activities to determine where improvements can be made and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation across the organisation.
In charge of creating, implementing and monitoring environmental strategies to promote sustainable development as well as reviewing the whole operation, carrying out environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented.
Tasks:
Ensure the development, implementation and management of all environmental programmes, indicators, procedures and activities of the Luxemburgish facility in line with applicable regulations (e.g. energy consumption, commodo-incommodo procedures, etc.).
Manage the cycle of authorization and approval procedures internally and externally as required by the activity of the factory.
Actively promote and follow-up on all themes related to environment within the company including improvement projects and conduct periodical audits.
Work closely with all departments to provide recommendations, guidance and consultation.
Manage anomalies, complaints/claims, incidents reporting and incident follow-up including corrective and preventative action tracking.
Monitor and periodically draft environmental indicators and reports, preparing related presentations for the management.
Follow-up on expenses of the environmental activities to stay in line with budgets.
Maintain and further develop an effective internal environmental communication system.
Be the first point of contact for local authorities and external stakeholders including approved bodies on environmental topics.
Profile:
Environmental Engineer education or equivalent strong professional experience
Industrial sector with production facilities EHS management background
French and English fluent, German is a plus
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Ability to take the lead on projects
